Blonde Bashed (By I-Poker)
Popular UK forum Blondepoker.Com has this week been informed by the network provider of their poker room skin, i-poker/Aqua that they have been given three months notice of termination of contract.
The main reason that the i-poker network has served Blonde with notice is because a change in the terms and conditions of the contract between has caused the poker skin to become untenable. Last year the network proposed a change in contract betweens the skins which would result in the skins receiving an additional 2.5% rake but in return they would accept liability for the charge backs that up until this time the network had been paying directly to the credit card companies for fraudulent card use.
Unbeknownst to Blonde these charges are extremely high because of the significant volume of fraud online gambling and poker attract. The debts seemed ot be piling up with out Blonde knowing and then things came to a head when i-poker/Aqua refused to allow one of the Blonde players to withdraw his money because it would throw the figures regarding the site profitability even further out of balance and result in even more fines!
The whole situation is very long and complex, a thread is developing over on the Blonde forum here.
