Brunson on TV

doyle-brunson Doyle Brunson (the Godfather of Poker/oldest poker twitterer) who has embraced modern technology with his online poker site and his twitter updates, has written on his blog about how crappy TV tournaments are. He states “No disrespect intended, but these poker shows are awful,” he is paying particular reference to Full Tilt’s Face the Ace and PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge. He said that there is absolutely no skill involved in these crapshoot tournaments that are specifically designed for television. He does however rate the High Stakes Poker series that he regularly appears on ” As I travel around, the High Stakes cash games are the ones all the fans talk about and I agree with them that they are by far the most interesting.”

This week saw a priest win $100,000 as he beat Daniel Negreanu on PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge, he justified it by saying all monies will be going to fix his churches roof.
