EPT London 2009
The dates and schedule for this years European Poker Tour in London have now been announced, and this year there is a slight twist. With the changes in law regarding remote gaming, a casino can apply for an extension of their license (for a limited amount of time) that allows them to use a hotels premises. The Grosvenor Victoria have exercised this change in law and have been granted the use of the Hilton Metropole Hotel just 300 meters from the casino. This means that the capacity has been greatly increased to over 800 tournament players and leaves the Vic to host 28 cash game tables around the clock!
The festival will run from 30th September to 7th October, and will include 16 different tournaments, including a high rollers event, a 6 max comp, an 8 game comp, shootouts, and many more. The highlight will be the £5000 main event. Satellites are now running on Pokerstars for this festival.

This EPT starts at the back end of the WSOPE and begs the question, will the big boys stay away from America for so long? For example;
6th-12th September Cyprus WPT
15th – 17th September English Poker Open
18th September – 2nd October WSOPE
30th September – 7th October EPT London
Only time will tell, but September is definitely Europe’s time to shine.
