Grosvenor Casino Host Wass Forum Annual Bash
The Grosvenor Casino this weekend hosted the Wass forum annual poker bash, and what a bash it was.
Poker players from all over the country got together for the annual tournament, that was held at the Grosvenor Casino in Stoke On Trent.
Over 100 players packed the card room on saturday that saw the £20 freeze-out fill the card room, the stage in the venue also saw 3 tables for Steve Capels birthday poker party , and in the top tier of the casino adjescent to the resteraunt, there were a further 3 tables for the weekly £10 semi freeze-out.
In total 16 tables of players all playing poker, the venue was rammed, and with 2 cash tables on the go as well it was a full weekend of none stop poker.
The forum owners of Wass actually admitted that in 4 days time the forum itself was to be sold to an Israeli firm who had already purchased the site for an undisclosed sum, having been going for almost 6 years the Nottingham based owner actually admitted that although there were 1000,s of members , there were only 100 or so active members at the moment and it was time to fold and let some-one with more time and energy and enthusiasm take over.
However this didnt stop the poker party going on until the early hours of Sunday morning.
