Hellmuth Spits Dummy Out
For those of you that have played a competition over multiple days, you will know that there is some confusion about the fairest way to end the night. Do you play the clock down to zero, play the clock down and then have last 3 hands or follow what the World Series of Poker does. Each has there own benefits and disadvantages. Recently the GUKPT have introduced the system that the WSOP uses, which is to stop play with 10 minutes to go and draw a random card, so that every table will play that amount of hands. Fair enough.
What has happened a few hours ago, is somewhat confusing, Day 3 of the main event finished on a strange one. The comp for the past 6 days has been drawing to conclusion the very same way, by card draw. Now day three has ended by simply running the clock down to zero and finishing there. Why has it changed mid comp?

Being the kind of player that Phil Hellmuth is, he has to get his point across. Storming to anyone who would listen, Hellmuth (seemingly unedged by this) was pleading to people as to what he or they should do, “Should I stall, I think I am supposed too”, ” Everyone is going to stall, I don’t wanna play that stall game”.
Personally if this was the decision taken to end the play, there should be no redress, everyone finishes the same way, and players should sit down and shut up. However questionable! But it is questionable?
Another anomaly, is the way the chips were bagged. When play had finished there was a 10 minute break away from the table so that the floor staff could chip up to the higher value chip, and then the players needed to return to their seat to bag up. Surely this is a security issue?
