Irish Poker Championships
Last Year Partypoker put their weight behind the very successful Irish Poker Championship Tour, however in a great coup it seems this year the main sponsors behind the Irish Poker Championship will be the biggest online name. Eglinton Casino and the Irish Poker Championship have teamed up with Pokerstars for a new UK and Ireland poker tour.
The main event of the Irish poker Championship will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Galway from the 11th December to the 14th December and the entry is €2000. The Festival itself lasts for 5 days starting the 10th and carries side events of €550, €350 and €250.
Last years winner was Rory Rees Brennan from Dublin and outlasted 253 players to earn himself the title and €160,000, this year the expected first prize will be €250,000 as the cap on the event is now 400.
Confirmed for the main event so far are Andy Black, Surindar Sunar, Padraig Parkinson, Jon Kalmer, Julian Gardner, Neil Channing, Marty Smyth and Marcel Luske amongst others.
The Pokerstars lobby will be open for satellites on the 15th October, and you can also buy-in in advance there.
