Isildur1 on wrong end of epic session
As the poker world sat and wondered who would be the one to finally take advantage of Isildur1’s relentless willingness to gamble with the best that the poker world has to offer, there were the same old names being bandied around. Most of the smart money was on one of the Secret Swedish Swashbuckler’s previous epic foes; Ivey, Antonius or even Townsend. Latest reports though are showing that it has been Brian Hastings who’s done the most damage to date against the mystery man in one of the most epic online matches of all time.
The pair have been playing $500/$1000 Heads Up Omaha on Full Tilt for roughly five hours and although results are had to report accurately, early indications are that Hastings is up somewhere between $3.2m & $4.2m. Imagine winning $4m dollars in a single poker session!!! Some of the chat from later in the session indicates that the Swede is finally starting to lose his cool but you can’t blame him under the circumstances.
Isidlur1 should be back given that he finished the game with around $450k but you’ve got to wonder how long this can last with results like this. As predicted in some of my earlier reports, it appears that variance is eventually catching up with one of the most exciting things to happen to online poker in recent times.
