Jerain Hazen on Dragons Den
Now I am a big fan of poker and a big fan of Dragons Den.
I also like to tell friends and family that poker is much better than its perceived to be by the ignorant. However, Jerain Hazen appearing on Dragons Den last night was an absolutely fucking waste of time and a backward step for the game in terms of anyone that saw it.
I am a tournament player and Im OK and for as much as skill as anyone may have, you have to be really lucky usually at least twice in any competition that you play to finish high in the money, so for him to explain it away as a solid business investment was pure shite.
I will stick up for the game to almost anyone, but as for it being a solid investment by a business backer, then, even as a die-hard poker enthusiast, I simply could not stand what ‘JJ’ was saying and he is clearly deluding himself.
So thanks JJ for making a mockery of the tournament game, telling the world that you have an edge over other players. Even if you do and are an extremely good player, there is still way too much variance for you to even consider turning it in to a business proposition. If you dont know that, then maybe you arent as good as you think.
