Just what is in store for Akenhead?
Ok, this week the poker industry has been brimming with excitement as the November 9 has been finally sorted out in Las Vegas, the whole world of poker has been glued to the WSOP final stages, but just what is in store for the young Hit Squad member James Akenhead?
In 4 months, the final table will get under way and the nine remaining players all go away with $1,000,000 to tide them over until November. Will Moon be eclipsed at the finish line ? Will Ivey ( leaf ) the table first? or can Akenhead keep his head? We will soon find out.
One thing is for sure , whatever happens the UK poker youngster will be made for life, he will have sponsorship deals coming out of his ears , poker tv channels will be paying silly money for him to play in various tournaments live on tv, magazines will want his story and pictures, and his life will never be the same again.
He will be the topic of conversation on every uk poker table, for the next 4 months and beyond, and the likeable Londoner should really be made for life.
Finally we, at UKPI send our congratulations to James, as he has just achieved what millions of us can only dream about, a WSOP final table!
