NOW is the Time!
To get really lucky and run like God if your one of the 2009 WSOP main event final tabelists. The UK poker community will be almost to a man behind the UK’s very own, James Akenhead. But the former London train driver has his work cut out as his the table short stack with a 10th of big chip leader Darvin Moons stack but Akenheads a talented player in form so a decent long shot at 17 (16/1).
Phil Ivey might have the most experience at the final table but with his 9 million stack being half the top fours you fancy his going to have to race early at least once for his life, so the 7.0 currently (6/1) on Betfair looks a little bit short to me. Looking for a price I might be tempted to take Jeff Shulman whose the only player on the final table who has made it here before and he has a decent stack which makes him decent value at 7.4 (13/2) or Joe Cada the talented internet pro who looks a decent price at 13 (12/1).
Darvin Moon can’t be bad value either at 5.3 (9/2) because he doesn’t seem to care too much about the money, Crazy red neck that he is. Kevin Schaffels not short of a few bob either, his game seemed a bit fishy though from the ESPN highlights (not that there very comprehensive of course) so not in love with the 15 (14/1) even though he has been in very good form, Antoine Saout is short stacked and French, never a good combination so his 19 (18/1) looks like chucking money away.
Buchman’s got a shitload of chips so a fair price at 5 (4/1) there’s not a huge amount of value anywhere but I’ve bumped a Tenner on Cada because I like a big, fair price. I like the first out market where I think Akenheads been overpriced which has skewed the market a bit, I’ve had a fiver each on Antoine Saout at 5.6 (9/2) and Phil Ivey at 6 (5/1).
