PKR Invitational Heads Up
It is refreshing to see that the farce of the World Heads Up Poker Championship sponsored by Littlewoods Poker isn’t quite the norm as of yet. Rather than deduct £11,000 from the prizepool, PKR will be adding $30,000 to the inaugural PKR Heads Up Grand Slam. Although apart from the 6 online qualifiers you would have had to have been invited to play.

This could have some very interesting permutations and will be interesting to watch (In the UK it will be shown on Sky Sports). The winner will receive a top prize of $100,000 of a prize pool of $350,000.
Play will be held at 3 Mills Studios on the 8th to 10th October and is sponsored by Matchroom sport and PKR.
On a side note, something to ponder ….. why do all these events in the UK have a buy-in in dollars? Even the English Poker Open had a $5000 buy-in!!
