PokerStars Heads-Up Rumpus
The Heads-up poker community of 2+2 are planning a day of action against PokerStars after their repeated call’s for changes to be made to the software configuration of the Heads-up lobby and tables have fallen on deaf ears.
The HUP 2+2 community provide a large number of PokerStars high volume/high stakes Heads-up customers and a large number of them are clearly unhappy at the sluggish response from the usually razor sharp Poker Stars customer support team and are threatening a blockade/boycott of the Heads-up tables this Sunday 13th December in response.
The 2+2/HUP PokerStars customers main complaints are that individual players are allowed to sit and wait at up to 24 different table at anyone given limit, thus making the lobby unmanageable too all and intimidating for recreational player, it is also claimed this incentivises other regular players to sit at a multitude of tables as well to compete for ‘business’.
The other major complaint is that players are allowed to sit out for an unlimited time, this practise is often used to hold the tables that start with an A and are prime real estate as they are at the top of the lobby and get more action.
The 2+2 HUP community point out that sitting out for extended periods of time with no real intention of playing can serve no benefit and is prohibited by time limits on the vast majority of sites, they also state that this often leads to table-blocking as its thus possible to sit out on another player’s tables with no intention of playing them in order to keep them from getting games with other players.
If you want to support these actions then details and a form letter to be mailed to PokerStars customer support can be found on the 2+2 topic here.
